Shri A S Janarthanan is the Non-Executive Chairman of the Bank.
He is a Master of Arts in Economics from the Madras University. He is engaged in the business of distribution of Petroleum Products and also ‘Exide’ batteries and Finance. Apart from being the President of the Karur District Petroleum Dealers Association, he is also an active member of the Lions International. He has held the position of director of the bank for more than three decades. He hails from the family of promoters. His grand father Shri Athi Krishna Chettiar was one of the founders of our bank and served as the President of Bank. His father Shri Athi Suriyanarayana Chettiar was the Vice-President of our Bank during earlier years.
Mr.A.S Janarthanan has made very significant contribution to the growth of our bank.
Shri. P.T. Kuppuswamy,Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
Shri P T Kuppuswamy is a commerce graduate and an Associate Member of the Chartered Accountants of India & Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
He joined KVB as Executive Director on 09.07.2001 and was elevated as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank on 01.06.2002. He held the position of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer till 23.09.2008 and effect from 24.09.2008, he has been re-designated as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to his joining in KVB, he was the General Manager of Canara Bank’s Calcutta circle.
He had been a member of several committees constituted by the IBA/RBI on prudential norms. He had participated in the 43rd International Banking Summer School held in USA in the year 1990.
DR.V.G.Mohan Prasad
Dr. V.G. Mohan Prasad became a member of the Board on 28.07.2003. He hails from a leading agricultural family in Udumalpet. Dr. Prasad is the son of Mr. V.R.B. Gopalratnam Guptha, who served as a member of our Board during the period 1970-1984. Born in 1958, Dr. Prasad is both an agriculturist & qualified medical practitioner by profession.
His educational qualifications include MD, DM, FCCP, MIASL. His area of specialization in Medicine is Gastroenterology. He has done yeoman service with his contributions in the field of Capsule Endoscopy, in India. Upon completing his schooling at Udumalpet, he did his PUC from St. Joseph’s, Trichy.
His academic achievements include being a rank holder in MBBS at CMC, Coimbatore, where he also completed his MD in Gen. Medicine.
He followed this up with a post-doctoral fellowship in Gastroenterology, at AIIMS, Delhi. He has ably served at leading hospitals in Los Angeles, Japan & Amsterdam. Dr. Prasad has authored a book on “Hepatitis” and published a number of papers in various reputed journals. He holds more than 7 Fellowship & Membership in various associations/organisations. Being an active Rotarian, he is also a very active social worker, and has served in various capacities including that of Dy. Governor. He is presently a leading consultant at K.G. Hospital, Coimbatore.
Shri.Katta Pradyumna Kumar
Shri K P Kumar graduated in Arts and Law from Osmania University. A practising advocate in the High Court of Karnataka, he is an advisor in M/s King & Partridge, Law Firm, Bangalore.
He is on the Board of the Bank since 29.12.2003 and represents 'Law'.
Dr.T.R.Ramanathan
Dr. T R Ramanathan, aged 66 years, is a post graduate in Arts has qualified himself in Law and practiced at Trichy during brief period from 1965 to 1968. He is also a Doctorate in Political Science. Hailing from an agricultural family he was fond of agriculture and is continuing the avocation till to-day in Thottakurichi, Karur District. He was inducted into the Board of the Bank as an Additional Director, in the Board meeting held on 27th May 2005. He had earlier served as Director of the bank during the periods 17.03.1976 to 12.03.1984, 26.04.1984 to 06.10.1986 and 25.01.1995 to 23.01.2003 representing the Majority sector “Agriculture”.
Shri M.G.S.Ramesh Babu
Shri M.G.S.Ramesh Babu, aged 44 years and a graduate in Mathematics, has been inducted as an Additional Director into the Board of the Bank on 25.08.2006. Hailing from the texcity Karur, he is running three SSI units. He is a leading exporter of Home Textiles. He is representing SSI Sector.
Dr S Krishna Kumar
Dr S Krishna Kumar, has been co-opted as a Director of the bank in the Board Meeting held on 27.09.2008 to represent 'Information Technology'.
Dr. S. Krishna Kumar is a graduate in Electronics Engineering from Bangalore University, M.Tech from IIT, New Delhi in Electronics and Communication Engineering, M.S from University of Southern California in Computer Science and Doctorate from the University of Southern California in Electrical Engineering - Systems.
Shri S Ganapathi Subramanian
Shri S Ganapathi Subramanian – Additional Director (date of appointment: 26.08.2009).
Shri S Ganapathi Subramanian, aged 65 years, is a Commerce graduate and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is a partner in M/s Price Patt & Co., Chartered Accountants, Chennai.
He has over 19 years of experience in audit of Banks including as a Central Statutory Auditor for many banks viz., Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, State Bank of India and Union Bank. He has also been associated with the audit of many public sector undertakings such as BHEL, MRL, MMTC and also Indian Oil Corporation. He has over 39 years of experience in Income tax matters and is appearing before the tribunals. He had also served as an arbitrator appointed by the High Court of Madras.

Shri K Parameshwara Rao has been co-opted as an Additional Director of the bank on 25th September 2009.
Shri K Parameshwara Rao, is a Post graduate in Commerce. He had served for more than 33 years in Corporation Bank and elevated to various positions and finally as a General Manager of the bank in the year 2005. He had also served as a Managing Director of the Corp Bank Homes Ltd., a subsidiary company of the said bank. He retired as a General Manager of the bank.
