At Karur Vysya Bank, Corporate Social Responsibility has been a part of its ethos. Even at the time of inception in 1916, the Articles of Association of the Bank had incorporated a clause that made provision of 1% of the annual profit for charity.
KVB continues to realize that CSR is not just compliance, but a strategic business initiative to achieve sustainable triple bottom line growth. We understand that well-meaning and well implemented CSR will build corporate reputation, employee engagement and efforts of the bank in finding out innovative ways to serve the people other than its regular business. The Bank’s CSR mission is to contribute to the social and economic development of the community as a whole and to establish itself as a responsible corporate citizen.

Karur Vysya Bank donates Rs. 3.14 Crores to PM CARES FUND under CSR
Karur Vysya Bank today donated a sum of Rs. 3.14 Crores to the PM CARES FUND from its CSR Funds. A DD for the amount was handed over to Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Hon’ble Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs at New Delhi by Shri B Ramesh Babu, MD & CEO of the Bank.
Donation to Covid Care Centre
Karur Vysya Bank has donated a sum of Rs. 20.00 lakhs under its CSR Programme to SAMADRUSHTI KSHAMATA VIKAS EVAM ANUSANDHAN MANDAL (SAKSHAM), Hyderabad to support the setting up of a temporary COVID-19 Care facility at the Durgabhai Deshmukh Hospital, run by the Andhra Mahila Sabha at Hyderabad.

Donation of 10 ambulances to TN Health Systems Project
Karur Vysya Bank has donated 10 ambulances to Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project to fight COVID pandemic. The ambulances were flagged off by Thiru M.K. Stalin, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The ambulances will be deployed for COVID relief activities across the state, 2 for use in the plains and 8 for use in hilly regions. This contribution is being implemented by the bank under its CSR initiatives at a budget of Rs. 1. 77 crore.
Medical Equipment for Eye care
Karur Vysya Bank donated medical equipment costing Rs. 50.50 lakhs to Sankara Eye Foundation, Coimbatore for their hospitals in Coimbatore and Krishnankoil for providing treatment to patients from economically weaker sections of society as part of its CSR initiatives in preventive healthcare.
