E-Commerce Debit Cards
RBI has advised Banks to ensure that transactions effected through Electronic Payment channels are safe and secure and not easily amenable to fraudulent usage. In this connection, RBI has mandated banks to block from e-commerce usage, all the debit cards which have not been used in e-commerce transactions for a prolonged time period, and enable the same only upon specific request of the card holder.
Accordingly, usage of our Bank Debit Cards will be restricted to Domestic ATMs and POS only, and all e-commerce usage are blocked to all the card holders of our bank who have not used their cards for e-commerce transactions during the last 9 months starting from 29th Jun 2019. Customers who are desirous of enabling their debit card for e-commerce purchases can enable through one of the following modes:
- By Calling the bank Customer Care number at 1860 258 1916 and placing the request. The card will be activated in 24 hours.
- By Visiting their home branch and providing the details to activate e-commerce transactions.
- As a Self-service, download the Bank’s Dlite app from the appropriate app store / play store, register for mobile banking, and enable the debit card instantly through the app.
